Frequently Asked Questions

What happens during a DUI assessment?

A DUI assessment is a one-on-one session with a licensed clinician to review your history, current situation, and any court or DMV requirements. After the assessment, we provide documentation to the courts and, if needed, a referral or enrollment into our Prime for Life education classes.

How long does the DUI program take to complete?

Our Prime for Life 20-hour education program can be completed in 10 sessions or through an accelerated 7-session cash-pay option. Classes are available in person at our Lexington office with flexible daytime and evening schedules.

What is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?

Our IOP provides structured therapy for individuals needing more support than weekly counseling but less than inpatient care. Participants attend multiple group sessions per week focused on recovery skills, relapse prevention, and mental health stabilization, with individual therapy and peer support included.

Do you offer individual therapy?

Yes. We provide individual counseling for mental health and substance use concerns with licensed clinicians experienced in trauma, depression, anxiety, and recovery. Sessions are available in person or via telehealth, depending on your needs and preference.

Are Spanish-speaking services available?

Yes. We offer Spanish-language options for DUI assessments, Prime for Life classes, and individual therapy. Please let us know your language preference when scheduling so we can connect you with a bilingual provider or interpreter.

Do you accept insurance for these services?

Yes. We accept most major insurance plans and offer affordable self-pay rates for those without coverage. Our team can verify your benefits and help you understand your options before your first appointment.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Yes. Many of our services—including Substance Use assessments, individual therapy, and some substance use treatment—can be completed through secure telehealth when clinically appropriate and permitted by state guidelines.

How quickly can I schedule my DUI assessment?

We guarantee DUI assessment appointments within 4 business days. If you have a tight court or DMV deadline, we’ll work with you to get you seen as quickly as possible.

Will I receive paperwork for court or my attorney?

Yes. After your assessment or completion of classes, we provide all necessary documentation required by the court, attorney, or the Kentucky Division of Driver Licensing.

How do I enroll in the DUI classes or IOP program?

Enrollment is simple—just call us or submit a scheduling request through our website. We’ll verify your insurance (if applicable), explain your options, and help you choose the program that fits your needs.

How long is the IOP program?

Length varies by individual progress, but most participants attend for 6–12 weeks. Your clinician will help determine the right level of care and duration based on your goals and overall stability.

Can I pay out of pocket if I don’t want to use insurance?

Yes. We offer affordable self-pay rates for assessments, therapy, and DUI classes, along with payment plan options when needed.
