THERAPIST, OWNER

Jessica Duval, LCSW, LCADC

We all have an internal pressure cooker that holds strong feelings and repressed emotions. This is especially true with today’s adolescents and teenagers. When anxiety, fear, depression, and outside stressors fill their barometer up, they reach a boiling point of eruption that plays out in extreme anger, defiance, substance abuse, addictions to social media and screens, overeating, and other destructive behaviors.

I assist teens in emptying out that barometer, give them my full attention, without judgment. I coach them in what I know works using evidence-based interventions such as EMDR, DBT, and CBT.

I also enjoy connecting with clients through creative outlets like art, music, mindfulness, breathing exercises, therapeutic games that bring self-awareness and distress tolerance skills to help regulate emotion. When your teenager stops talking to you, bring them to me, and hopefully, we can make some progress together!

Bobby Graven, CSW

My name is Bobby Graven, and I am a CSW dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and growth. I received my Master’s Degree from the Kent School of Social Work in 2022 and have been practicing in mental health and substance abuse since that time.

My passion for this work is deeply personal. Having faced struggles of my own, as well as those within my family, I understand how overwhelming life’s challenges can feel. These experiences shaped my commitment to helping others find hope, strength, and practical tools for change.

In my practice, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. I believe that everyone has the ability to heal and build a life happy, joyous, and free.

My goal is to help clients build insight, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I approach therapy with empathy, compassion, and respect, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique. Together, we can process life’s challenges, identify strengths, and work toward a healthier and more fulfilling future.

It is paramount to emphasize the significance of incorporating diversity into mental health care. Recognizing and respecting the unique cultural, ethnic, and individual backgrounds of each client is not merely a checkbox on the path to effective therapy; it is the cornerstone of genuine healing.

In my practice, I am dedicated to providing therapy to vulnerable populations by strongly emphasizing their inherent strengths and focusing keenly on their unique needs. I firmly believe that every individual possesses remarkable resilience and untapped potential, even in the face of challenges. Whether working with those grappling with anxiety and depressive disorders or individuals navigating the complexities of complex personality disorders, I approach each client with an unwavering commitment to empowering them.

I look forward to building a connection with you and embarking on a unique therapeutic journey together.

THERAPIST AND CLINICAL COORDINATOR

Jessica Miller, LCSW

Hi, I’m Jessica Miller, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. At Halcyon, I provide a full range of DUI services, including DUI assessments, DUI education classes for first-time and repeat offenders (DUI 1, DUI 2, DUI 3, and DUI 4+), 20-hour DUI education, and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services for individuals navigating court, probation, licensing, or legal requirements. I am also a DUI program administrator, supervisor, assessor, and educator, allowing me to combine clinical expertise with program leadership to ensure services are effective, compliant, and supportive of long-term behavioral change.

In addition to DUI services, I provide mental health and substance use counseling in both individual and group settings. My counseling style incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and solution-focused approaches. I frequently utilize DBT skills training to help clients improve emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and overall coping skills. I work with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns, helping them develop practical tools for recovery and wellness.

I am also passionate about serving the LGBTQ+ community and providing affirming, inclusive care. I assist clients with gender identity exploration and confirmation and can help navigate insurance requirements and documentation related to gender-affirming care, including top and bottom surgery.

Additionally, I provide evaluations and documentation for Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) when clinically appropriate. These assessments help determine whether an emotional support animal may be beneficial as part of a client's treatment plan and overall mental health support.

My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment where clients feel supported, empowered, and equipped to achieve their personal goals.

Get started with Halcyon, today.
